April 2015
In 2015 I was invited to be an observer for a Disaster Airlift Response Team exercise being held at the San Martin airport. Part of the exercise involved the transportation of injured patients from San Martin up to Stanford Hospital. As a mock patient, I was ferried to Palo Alto airport in this Skylane, courtesy of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Air Squadron. The Squadron is a volunteer organization affiliated with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department, performing search & rescue operations along with other mutual aid missions. Introduced in 1956, the 182 is the second most popular Cessna model after the 172. Nikon D300 w/18-200mm, processed with Aperture and Photomatix Pro.
