CerebralMix 2015-09-13 is off and running with a four note theme. Okay, it isn’t, really, but that is one of those lines that I have always wanted to say, and for some reason it just felt like it was worth saying just now.
And, in a way, it’s appropriate for this show. I normally do these shows in sets of three or four at a time, and the results are often interesting. For example, there are things that will get re-used between shows. But this show ups that game a little bit, and starts re-using things within the show itself.
For example, there is a title that is re-used: Dream Sequence, which is the title of songs by both Professor Kliq and Peter Woodwind & Vania de Bie-Vernet.
Also, in a way, this whole show is about re-use of poetry. These poems have existed for years, and have been re-used in many ways over time (for teaching, reading, etc.). This show is re-using them in a different way than I think they have been re-used before. And, in fact, these specific readings are being re-used in a way that I doubt the readers would have thought of when they first recorded them.
However, there is also another example of a re-use within this episode that I will leave it for you, the listener to discover. It’s actually kind of funny if you do find ./ notice it.
