Introduction
This week concludes the series of Sherlock Holmes based CerebralMix shows with ‘The Red Headed League’. Definitely one of the more delightful and interesting stories that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle penned with Holmes and Watson as central characters.
I keep wondering, however how Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would have fared in writing style with todays works? Would he have been able to adjust to the style of writing today? Would he have been able to navigate the rapidly shifting technology today?
There have been many attempts by writers to pay homage to Holmes in different settings. And there has been a long standing fascination with the character that seems to draw perpetual interest. One can only speculate that this character will be around for many decades to come (and if Star Trek is a good predictor of these things, it seems likely Holmes will be around for several millennium).
