Celebration

I rarely talk about my husband or our marriage on my blog, mostly because he’s a very private person and I’ve always felt protective of him. I also try not to share too much because, quite frankly, it’s boring how much we love each other. No one cries, yells, or has to sleep on the couch, and the only fight I can think of to date is an intense, ongoing argument over the final battle between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort.

….Cat’s out of the bag… I’m a HUGE nerd!

Today I’m breaking my personal rule to honor the first year of marriage with my best friend. In the seven years we’ve known each other we could never remember when we first started dating (although my husband vividly remembers every single meal we’ve ever eaten), so this is also the first anniversary we’ve ever shared. We didn’t know how normal people celebrate so we just did our favorite things, eating tacos, exploring the city and going to a movie. Perfection. Every day together is a miracle and I’ll eternally consider myself to be the luckiest girl in the world.

How do you guys celebrate anniversaries? I’d love to know, since clearly I’m a rookie!
