Celebrate National Library Week

By Melody Schubert @USATM

National Library Week is a great time to join local programs and events. We love visiting our local Mooresville Public Library in Indiana that offers many services. And, like so many other folks, we are thankful for our dedicated library staff, who remained with us, adapting to required changes along the way during the pandemic.

Imagine That... Mooresville Library has FREE passes for cards holders to the Eiteljorg, Indiana State Museum, and several beautiful Historic sites across the state.

Natalie Portman, Academy Award-winning actress, director, producer, author, and activist is the honorary chair of National Library Week 2021. She shares the joy of lifelong learning and is a fan of books. Portman is an avid reader and often shares what she is reading on her Instagram feed, as part of Natalie Portman's Book Club, using the hashtag #whatnatreads. Born in Jerusalem, Israel, she is a graduate of Harvard University and just recently released her debut picture book - "Natalie Portman's Fables."

With digital services like audiobooks, comics, movies and more to explore, our libraries are a important part of our community. We appreciate and thank all library staff and volunteers, who kept us all intrigued and entertained throughout the past year!
