Cauliflower Puree Recipe

Adding vegetables in baby foods is most important for the growth and development of babies. Cauliflower is rich in vitamin C, which supports the body to absorb iron. It is also loaded with vitamin K, B vitamins and antioxidants. It’s the best immune boosting food. This recipe is suitable for babies above 8 months.

Cauliflower Puree Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower – 10-15 Florets
  • Butter – 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder – a pinch
  • Pepper Powder – a pinch

Method:

1. Remove the stalk and chop the cauliflower into small florets.

2. Boil water and add the florets. Let it boil for few seconds.

3. Transfer the florets to cold water.

4. Heat butter in a pan.

5. Add cumin powder and pepper powder.

6. Add blanched cauliflower florets.

7. Add required water, cover and cook till it becomes soft.

8. Mash with spoon or masher.

NOTE:  Blend the mixture for smoother consistency.

Cauliflower Puree is a creamy smooth treat for babies, which is very easy to make and highly nutritious.  It’s the best way to introduce the yummy cauliflower to little ones. This recipe is fiber-rich and can help to relieve constipation. For elder babies it can be given in partially mashed form instead of puree.
