For Tuesday’s Catfish and the Bottlemen show, fans eagerly waited in front of Webster Hall from 10am onwards (doors opened at 8pm, mind you). As soon as people started to pour in, though, I knew this would be one rowdy show — particularly given The Studio’s size. With their second full length album, The Ride, out in the wild, Catfish and the Bottlemen have more than enough material to play for over an hour. From the first song on the setlist, the crowd never stopped dancing, and the energy was incredible. Without a moment to breathe between each song, the band powered through their set, while cautiously spacing out their new material. Appropriately ending their set with the last song from their debut record, the band tied together the night with an explosive breakdown.
