Cassie, P. Diddy’s protege-slash-love interest, is making moves. She just released new music in the form of a mixtape entitled Rockabyebaby and announced a collaboration with Forever 21 as the spokesmodel for their summer line. I ain’t mad at her.
Cassie is hardly a surprising choice as she has the eclectic urban LA style (plus a super edgy undercut) and is clearly a fan of the high street brand as she wore a Forever 21 bomber jacket for her music video Numb. She may have recorded with the likes of Akon and Lil Wayne, but also has had a successful modelling career. She is signed with One Management and has modeled for Calvin Klein One, Adidas, Delia’s, ASOS Spring 2013 collection and had a commercial with Clean and Clear.
Back in the day, long before the release of RockaByeBaby and before she was labeled “P. Diddy’s girl”, Cassie was a model for dELiA*s, Abercrombie and Calvin Klein One. Now the 26-year-old Bad Boy singer is headed back to the camera and signed on as the new face of Forever 21’s Summer 2013 Forever L.A. collection.
The new line—inspired by 90’s urban Los Angeles and the East side of the country—includes an assortment of brightly colored cropped tops, pattered accessories, and overalls.
