Led by Scott Freeman, the Tribeca-based acting studio is known for presenting numerous community enhancing events and activities for its students and for the city’s acting community at large. The so-called extracurricular activities include industry panels and talks, and low-cost workshops called Saturday Specials. Most of these add-ons, led by notable theater artists, are either free or low-cost, and are open to the public.

Preston and Emerson both have contributed Emmy Awards to their mantle at home — Preston for her role on The Good Wife, and Emerson for his work on The Practice in 2001 and on Lost in 2009. Currently both are on Person of Interest (as a love interest), and Preston just starred in the seventh and final season of True Blood. In addition to Person of Interest, she continues to be better than good on The Good Wife.
For his parts, Emerson has played Oscar Wilde in “Gross Indecency” (his NY stage debut), and has appeared on Broadway in “The Iceman Cometh” with Kevin Spacey and “Hedda Gabler.” He has played a string of damaged and sinister characters on The X-Files, Law and Order, Without a Trace, The Inside, The Practise and Lost. He is Finch on Person of Interest.
