Cardboard Roll Paper Bug

By Sarahcraftylocks

Often when I am playing with a few ideas for some paper crafts for children crafts, the children try out some ideas of their own and they have some great results!

This one even had a planning stage!!! I have no idea where that stage would have come from, he would never have seen me demonstrate something so sensible.

So the plan involved three cardboard tubes, empty toilet rolls are perfect.

One roll was squashed and another two were attached on top of it to make the huge eyes. Then some pipe cleaners for legs and details.

I love the teeth on the first one, and the bow on the next one.

A bit of painting later and we had some beaut bugs.
We did think about adding some paper over the holes for eyes, but thought that the empty hole at the ends of the rolls made quite effective eyes.
