Caramel Popcorn

 Caramel popcorn has been on my to-do list since a long time. Everybody in the family likes to gorge on this especially while watching movies. The caramel popcorn which is available simply lacks caramel taste and flavor, its only color  and maybe a few kernels turn out sweet.It simply puts me off .
So here is a recipe which is not only easy to make in the microwave but also has a great taste of caramel as each kernel is well coated .Next time may add a pinch of chilli flakes!

Caramel Popcorn


125 g   un-popped corn, makes about 3-31/2 cups
45 g     Butter
100 g   Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
25 gm   Corn Syrup
In a bowl add butter,brown sugar and corn syrup.Microwave it for about 2 mins till it starts sizzling.
Remove it from microwave and add baking soda .Stir well.
Put popped popcorn in a big bowl and add the butter sugar mixture .Mix well to coat all the kernels.
Put a lid on top of the bowl and microwave for another 1 1/2 minutes .Shake the bowl well .
