Verdict on Captain America: Brave New World

Recap

The movie follows Sam Wilson as he steps up to become the new Captain America. He finds himself taking on a new threat America faces before the next World War starts.

Best Parts

For the first adventure of Sam Wilson, this is a good way to show him being more vulnerable than Steve Rogers. We finally get to look at the aftermath of Eternals. Along with some fun new supporting characters. Shira Haas was the best new addition to the series and Anthony Mackie does a great job stepping up. There are some fun action sequences, but nothing is too over the top. I liked how this movie focuses more on the older loose ends and is held back from anything overly cosmic.

Worst Parts

This does fall into the same problems as most of the latest movies in the franchise. It hopes you have caught up on the TV shows too, otherwise, you won’t know who some characters are.

Final ThoughtsCaptain America: Brave New World is a nice introduction to the Sam Wilson era.
