Plot: It follows Avery Graves as she is blackmailed by terrorists into betraying her own country to save her kidnapped husband.

Story: Canary Black starts when Avery Graves (Beckinsale) completes her latest assignment. Outside of work, she has settled down with David (Friend) who thinks she is an office worker. However, her past comes back to haunt her when David is kidnapped, and she is blackmailed into helping the enemy.
Avery must go against her agency to help the terrorists and free her husband. However, she is left wondering who she can trust in the world of spies and terrorists.
Verdict on Canary Black
Canary Black is an action thriller about a special agent forced to turn on her government to save her husband. However, her mission only raises more questions about the people she works for as she searches for answers and people she can trust.
This movie takes the secret agent going against their country’s idea. It doesn’t do too much you wouldn’t expect and brings twists and turns to the table. This lets Kate Beckinsale take the action heroine role and lets her shine like we know she can. It ends up being an entertaining late-night movie, that can be enjoyed by the action junkies.
