The question was asked, "Can the proud truly abandon themselves to the providence of the Father?" At face value, the answer would be in the negative, but there are many aspects to this question which cannot be addressed here. In brief, the proud can end up abandoning themselves to God our Father's providence, after He has deigned to grant them the grace of being humbled, the grace of acceptance of his grace and the grace of trust.
