The interior of the restaurant was pretty and modern. With an open kitchen in sight as soon as you walk in and a transparent counter of rows and rows of a variety of skewered kebab meats.
Soup of the day (£4.80) - lentil soupHeart warming and nicely flavoured, with a portion of a soft sesame topped bread.
Mixed fish platter (£14.50) - a combination of tuna, salmon, tiger prawns, scallops, swordfish & potatoes / side salad. As much as I love seafood, This dish didn't really wow me. For me, there wasn't enough seasoning on the individual pieces of fish, however I did really like the scallops on this skewer. For the price of this dish, I would've thought you get more.
Mixed grill (£15.25) - selection of marinated lamb, chicken shush, adana, lamb cutlet, seftali & rice. For the ultimate meat lover! On the other hand, this dish was packed with flavours & it's great that it has a selection of different meats it just makes the dish more interesting! Loved this one.
Baklava (£4.90) - layers of Filo pastry infused with nuts & syrup served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
This was my faveeeeee part of dinner! Never tried this before and I loved it. If you have a sweet tooth then this will defo be one to try. You don't wanna share this! ;p
I'm glad we happened to drop by a Turkish restaurant as I've been looking forward to trying this cuisine for a while! Despite it being slightly pricey for some dishes, I would visit Cambaz again as there is loads I still want to try on the menu & it being one of a few Turkish restaurants in Birmingham it will remain a recommended restaurant. Thanks for reading!
