Cakes with a Difference

By Shadesofcinnamon
Have you ever seen a cake that looks too much like art to possibly be edible? In Marimekko's sample sewing studio in Helsinki, they're making fabric works of art that look good enough to eat.  On a trip to New York in July I was blown away by this stunning storefront window of Marimekko's Flagship Store in Fifth Avenue.

Marimekko, established in 1951, is a Finnish textile and clothing design company renowned for its original prints and colours. The company designs and manufactures high-quality clothing, interior decoration textiles, bags and other accessories in Helsinki, Finland.
