Cake Nostalgia

By Latinaprpro @latinaprpro
The Wonderful folks at Nothing Bundt Cakes Valencia invited me and my hubby for a tasting.  Other than gaining two pounds in one hour, I did not receive any other compensation for writing my honest opinion about these yummy cakes.
I have two memories when it comes to Bundt Cakes: my grandma's Rosca Luisa, a luscious orange-honey glazed "crown" cake that was delightfully moist, and a generic store-bought cake traditionally served at potlucks.
You might remember the Bundt Cakes as the funny cake with the hole in the middle given as a hostess gift in the classic film "My Big Fat  Greek Wedding."
For the rest of you that have no idea what a Bundt Cake, it's literally a glorified cake or coffee cake baked in a crown-like mold.
In other words, it's a cake and if done right, it's absolutely delicious.

Recently folks have discovered that it's fun to eat dessert after meals and even while drinking coffee or tea.
Cookies, cakes, and other yummy desserts are now served. But, Bundt Cakes?  Not so much...
Until now.

Started with the cupcake craze--that I predicted a long time ago would be ending soon--folks are now looking for alternatives to the traditional desserts served at both dinner time and special celebrations.
This is where the Bundt Cake comes in.
A little nostalgic and a whole lot of yummy, the Bundt Cake is the perfect dessert to surprise both your dinner and party guests.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip mini Bundt Cakes

This past weekend I was invited to try a few flavors of the world famous Nothing Bundt Cakes at their Valencia Location.
From their lemon raspberry flavor, to the chocolate chocolate-chip, I found the Nothing Bundt Cakes to be flavorful but never over powering.
The cakes were moist and the frosting--a nice balance between the traditional cake icing and cream cheese frosting--was perfection.

I had seen these beautiful cakes on a couple occasions but didn't know they were made at one of the many locations franchised or owned by Nothing Bundt Cakes.
Now I do, and you do too.

I invite you to stop by their website and find your nearest location and try a Bundt Cake for your next special occasion, which could very well be your next dinner!
