Cable Car – “Ride”

Posted on the 05 June 2013 by Catchmyear @catchmyear

Over the years in music there have been a lot of bands formed.  Some of them succeed and some of them fail.  Well the trio called Cable Car is one of them that will succeed.  This is a brand new trio that you will full in love with the sound right away and I heard HIT.

The email I got about the band said it all in three simple words: “Soulful. Sexy. Electrifying”.  Once you take one listen to the band you will agree with those words as well.  Of course they are much more than that.

Cable care is made up of Nathan Mott (vocals), Jack Turner (guitar) and Ryan Murphy (drums).  The EP they just released TODAY (June 4, 2013) is called “Ride” and you will be on one good ride when you take a listen.

The EP starts off with a slower R&B type of feel song called “Two.Time.Love”. The guitar hook that starts off the song just catches your ear and makes you keep on listening.  The harmony of the vocals are dead on.  I also love how they use the left and the right throughout the song.  By switching the vocals from one ear to the other same with the instruments.  Job well done on this song on making me want to listen more.

The next song I need to talk about is called “You’re Killing Me”.  This is the first single off this EP and this is going to put this group on the map.  This is a little slower pace song but they use less instruments then the first song I talked about.  But with this song they pick up the pace of the chorus that makes you love it.  Again these guys know how to blend the vocals so well.  And they again play with the left and right ears so well.  That is something I love about a song, and when I was in school for music and would mix a song I would love to do that and everyone that listened to my song would say it was well done.  It’s hard thing to do but if you do it right it will make the song amazing.

Another song off of the EP that I love is called “It’s You”.  The song starts off with a women singer which is a nice touch.  They then start off the song with guitar and vocals then everything kicks in.  The reason why I love this song is that it’s a faster pace song and reminds me of Train.  Which Train has done an amazing job with their career.  This song is the must download if you are only going to get one song.

This EP contains five songs, and to be honest all five are done so well it was hard for me to choose which one I liked the most to talk about.  The production of this EP is amazing, and is really going to help them get on the map.  I think these guys will make it big within the next two years.  Now time for the rating…5/5 stars!!  Trust me when I say this EP is a must have!  So head over to iTunes and download it right now.
