We have mentioned Butrint before, but this time we are talking about the archaeological site:

The site contains structures and objects from prehistoric times until the 19th century. The ruins give you an idea of how a city developed during many centuries and the whole natural park belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Given the size of the park – more than 80km² – you need at least half a day to explore it. In summer, take a lot of water with you! There is a lot of walking and climbing to be done, in temperatures around 40 C°.

The national park is becoming very popular, not only with tourists and travelers in Albania, but also in Corfu. In other words, expect a lot of buses with tourists!
