Britney Spears is dipping her feet back into the acting pool. It has officially been confirmed the pop diva will appear on an episode of the CW’s hit show “Jane The Virgin.” Britney shared the news via twitter, letting her fans know she landed a guest role on the show’s second season. She wrote, “See u at the Marbella Hotel soon, @hereisgina @jaimecamil! Guest starring on one of my favorite shows EVER @CWJaneTheVirgin #DreamComeTrue.

Jennie Urman released a statment descrbing who Ms. Spears will play. Britney Spears is set to play the role of Rogelio’s (played by Jaime Camil) nemesis. In addition, Britney will appear on the fifth episode of Season 2. Urman also stated (via PEOPLE), “Personally, after hearing about their long standing feud (from Rogelio’s point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears’ side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney.”
