It seems like it’s starting to become wedding week unofficially here on the blog. My apologies for all the pictures in this post, but I’ve been meaning to share these photos from our couple’s shower and rehearsal dinner for awhile now, and it was so hard to narrow all of the pictures down! Our rehearsal dinner was hosted at Palace Cafe here in New Orleans, and the food was absolutely to die for. Palace Cafe is locally owned by the Brennan Family here in New Orleans – and all of their restaurants are basically synonymous with amazing food. There’s a singing trio that go up to the guests and serenade them in the restaurants, and my hubby surprised me at our rehearse dinner with a serenade from all of the gentlemen. It was so sweet, and it’s my favorite memory of both our shower and dinner.
I’d been so busy wedding planning and working, that I didn’t have time to really think about what I was going to where to either event. Definitely atypical for me as I usually plan my outfits out quite a bit in advance. I wound up choosing a simple cream shift dress for our couple’s shower with mesh seaming and details, which is sadly sold out now. I ordered it the week of the shower, and paid for 2 day shipping so that it would make it in time for the big day. For our rehearsal dinner, I didn’t even manage to rush order anything. The weather was so back and forth that I didn’t decide what I was wearing until getting dress that afternoon. I didn’t want to be too dressy or too casual, so I decided on a floral maxi dress and simple wedges. The look turned out great, and I didn’t have to spend any money on something new which is always a winner in my book. Don’t you just love when that happens!?
