{Bridal Expo: Lynchburg Style}
By Whimofthesouth
The Holiday Inn in downtown Lynchburg did a wonderful job at hosting the Lynchburg Bridal Expo this past Sunday. They provided live entertainment, snacks (aka the crab mac n cheese...that I had Steph try because I couldn't do anything but drool over it), and a cute little hot chocolate bar with different fixings. Across the hall from the entertainment and refreshments, the expo was in full swing with a wonderful crowd. It's such a fun thing to get to do these things as a bride. I know that everyone wants your business, but the amount of congratulations and excitement that other people have for you is one of the best parts. You get to spend time getting pampered and doted on. Some of these vendors had the most creative set ups & others were the most kind and funny people you could've wanted! I was able to finally get to meet my photographer in person (K.D. Burke photography out of Lynchburg.) She was so sweet and I can't wait to work with her! One of the favorite places that I saw was a venue out of Altavista called the Avoca Museum. It's a historic site but costs less than $3,000 for the packages (and they're customizable.) If you're getting married, they're worth checking out! And their management is so sweet and kind. Even though I already have my venue, they still stood there and talked to me with excitement about the site. In the area? Make it a point to go next year! It's totally worth it! xoBCC
