The first event will take place on Thursday, April 23 – the day after Earth Day – at Intuition with a special keg tapping ceremony of a very special beer brewed in conjunction with Aardwolf specifically for the event.
“We brewed a single hop IPA with Simcoe hops,” said Andrew Cattell, head brewer at Intuition ale Works. The beer was also aged on oak to give it nutty, vanilla, caramel, coconut and wood flavors.
The drive for awareness and membership continues on Thursday, May 7 and Aardwolf Brewing Company in San Marco. Guests will have an opportunity to speak with Greenscape personnel while they once again enjoy the collaboration brew created especially for the event.
The final event of the series takes place at Bold City Brewing Company on Friday, May 15. Guests will have a final opportunity to support Greenscape and speak with members of the organization. They will also have one last chance to taste the delicious brew created especially for the event.
Greenscape began in 1975 as an organization dedicated to helping downtown Jacksonville and its surrounding neighborhoods become greener places to live. Today, the organization is credited with over 250,000 trees added to our local canopy. By working with the City of Jacksonville in an advisory capacity to establish the City’s Landscape Ordinance, serving on the Mayor’s Environmental Advisory Committee, JEA’s Tree Coalition, and the Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Commission, Greenscape continues to further the awareness of the importance of our tree canopy to the health and economic well-being of our community.
