It has just been announced that Canadian Rock/Pop stars Hedley will headline North Bay Summer in The Park's Friday night on July 29.
Hedley is currently on a nationwide tour, with Francesco Yates and Carly Rae Jepsen, promoting their most recent album Hello. The tour recently stopped in Barrie, Kingston and Ottawa and is making it's way into Western Canada before wrapping up at the end of May.
"We are thrilled to have locked down the hottest band in Canada," said festival chairman John Strang. "These guys play across the country and around the world. The ACC, the Bell Centre, Rexall Place and Vancouver's Rogers Arena. We wanted to reach out to as many people as possible," chair John Strang said at a news conference this morning in North Bay. "We heard last year that we didn't have anything in particular for the young people. I believe we've covered that this year with Hedley, a Juno award winning band that were in North Bay several years ago. We're excited to have them back."
Organizers previously announced that Tim Hicks and Cory Marquardt would headline the annual festival's Saturday country night on July 30.
Wristbands are $29.99 until May 31. They can be purchased at the Capitol Centre box office, city hall, Parker's Independent Grocer, Clarion Resort Pinewood Park, North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce and CIBC banks.
The annual festival runs from July 29-July 31 along the Lake Nipssing Waterfront in North Bay, Ontario. For more information on North Bay's Summer in the Park visit http://www.northbaysummerinthepark.ca/
