Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has pleaded guilty for defiling the orders of the Lagos state government which had ordered Lagosians to stay at home and avoid social gatherings.
The Jenifa star had organized a birthday bash for her husband and some of the guests in attendance included Naira Marley and Eniola Badmus.
She was later picked up by the police following social media outrage. Akindele and her husband Abdulrasheed Bello professionally known as JJC skills, were arraigned before a magistrate court in Lagos.
Earlier on, Legit.ng reported the news of how Nollywood actress Funke Akindele-Bello was arrested by the Lagos state police command over the house party hosted in her house to celebrate her husband’s birthday on Saturday, April 4, at their Amen Estate residence.
According to The Nation, the Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, confirmed that the actress, popularly called ‘Jenifa’, had been taken to a Chief Magistrates Court in Ogba, Lagos. The prosecuting team is said to be from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
According to reports, the actress alongside her husband will have to give reasons why they should not be sent to jail for a month each or pay the fine of N100k.
