Breakfast to Go Without the Drive Through

One of the most difficult challenges I face when traveling is eating healthy and eating on a regular schedule and many times, I need breakfast to go.

I prefer not to eat drive through all the time. Traveling with Glinda, my vintage trailer, has made things a little easier than when I traveled from hotel to hotel. I now have my own stove and an icebox. However, when I'm traveling and teaching, it's hard to make time for breakfast when I have an early morning workshop or when I need to get back on the road for a day of driving. Even when I've made time to stop and camp with my vintage trailer, remember I only have a vintage ice box, not an electric fridge, so I try to keep refrigerated products to a minimum and choose items that take up a small space. When travel teaching, I only have one drawer dedicated to food stuffs so that I can carry more paint supplies.

I was truly excited to find Belvita Breakfast Biscuits in the cookie and cracker aisle. The box reads that it will provide me with 4 hours of steady energy! This sounds like the perfect thing for me. This would provide breakfast to go, even when I'm not traveling.

I'll admit that there are many mornings here at home when I wake up and get busy working before making time for breakfast first. These are perfect to keep a few at my desk for those mornings when I realize I didn't eat breakfast and the morning is quickly expiring.

On this last trip, I decided to try Belvita Breakfast Biscuits. They were portable enough I could eat them on the road, or while setting up for a class and could be an easy breakfast to go.

And on those mornings, when I set up camp and I just want to sit outside my travel trailer enjoying a beautiful sunrise with a cup of coffee and a healthy breakfast, these are perfect!

Now, I have to share a funny story about this last trip to Texas. I had the chance to stay with my friend, Connie. She has the most charming ranch house and showered me with hospitality. Waiting for me in my guest room was a stunning welcome bowl. Included in that welcome bowl were a few Belvita Breakfast Biscuits. I got to save these though, because she made me breakfast each morning. She was a wonderful host.

Later on my trip, I stayed with my friend Cindy. Cindy set me up with a welcoming tea tray that...you guessed it...contained some Belvita Breakfast Biscuits. And she had more waiting for me by the coffee pot in the kitchen. Score!

I can tell you that I'm definitely sold on these super energy packed Belvita Breakfast Biscuits. I was not hungry an hour after eating them and I had plenty of energy to get me through a morning of driving or a morning teaching mixed media workshops.

These Belvita Breakfast Biscuits are the perfect breakfast to go without the drive through.
