Diane von Furstenburg is a fashion icon. She is that name that you hear oh so often and you only dream of meeting her. I got to meet Diane a couple of years ago when she was in Dallas launching her Diane fragrance. Thinking that would be that one and only time I would get to meet her I made sure to take everything in, ask her as much as I could in a minute and ended up walking away with not only a signed fragrance bottle + truly inspired.
Yesterday my dream came true and I got to attend a very special breakfast hosted by the fashion queen herself at her store in Highland Park Village. They had mimosas and wonderful breakfast bites for all. We even got to preview some of the pieces from her Cruise 2014 collection (need everything) and of course spend time with Diane von Furstenburg! Diane is one of the warmest and down to earth women I have ever met. She hugs everyone, is full of compliments, asks how you are doing and even quizzed me asking which piece from her store was favorite (of course I said a wrap dress!). She treated everyone like a long lost friend and genuinely appreciated us all taking the time to come and see her! It’s not everyday you can say you had breakfast at Diane’s so I am still on a fashion high.
p.s. She did say she loved my iPhone case, officially never getting rid of that!
