Brass, with its beautiful blend of nickel and chrome, is making its way as the forefront of the design world. My love of brass first became prominent when I first discovered Lulu & Georgia. Its renewed interest, mainstream shops and smaller boutiques are making finding this metal easily. This durable combination of copper and zinc, won’t rust, strong yet easily morphed into a different shapes. Some may call it the “poor man’s gold”, I call it a true treasure because it’s beautiful yet inexpensive. What makes the new age-old brass more appealing is the unfinished finish compared to shiny finishes from the 70′s. But the new generation prefers the aged look, actually the more vintage and full of history it looks like the more desire it is. Brass is back for a good reason, it’s timeless, warm, inviting, and finish off any room like an amazing jewel. From small moments to large statements, brass can be incorporated into the home elegantly tasteful, as in this romantic antique style bathroom.
