Brahma Brews Brunch Bash

By Rohit Dassani

Brahma Brews is one of the popular gastro pubs in JP Nagar, located close to Hakanu Matata on 24th Main Road. One inside the place is huge with couple of large huts where customers can experience brews and foods while enjoying in the lapse of nature. We sat on one of the hut on the first floor, from here you can see the whole place coming alive! The music played here is really amazing.

We visited Brahma Brews to try the ‘Brahma Brews Brunch Bash’. This brunch is one the most elaborated brunch you can try in Bangalore. The prices starts from 799++ and goes till 1499++ with IMFL. You can even take your kids here and they can have lunch at only 399++. The brunch has more than 150 items with a majority of items as part of live counters. There are more than 10 live counters where it is salad, tandoori, cheese, pizza, pasta, dosa, dimsums, desserts and so on.

We tried couple of items from the salad live counters like the Smoked Baba Ghanous with Garlic Bread stick and the Dill Dil with veggies Salad. Both the salad shots were delicious. We tried the Veggie Naanzah Pizza which is a Arabic version of this Italian dish. The Chole Kulche will take you straight to the streets of Delhi. This comes with soft and buttery kulcha and a tangy chole gravy.

From the dimsum counter we had the Assorted Veg Dumpling and the Papper Cottage Cheese dumplings. The Assorted Dumpling was good but the Papper Paneer Dumpling was not upto the mark. From the pasta counter we had the Raviolli Pasta which was filled with spinach and cheese. Loved it! These items are best tried with some of the house special cocktails like the Kay Kay Rum Punch made with rambutan, coconut water, rose and citrus juice. The Apple Cider is one of the best inhouse brews and cannot be missed.

For the main course we had the Mushroom in Black Pepper sauce and the Mix Herbs Rice. The combo was out of the world specially the Mushroom in Black Pepper sauce. The desserts counters here is to die for as it is very extensive. I tried the Banana Fudge Cake, Mango Panacotta, Red Velvet Cup Cake, Lemon Tart, Orange Chum Chum, Gur Rasgulla, Son Papdi, Mini Balushai and Ghevar. The Banana Fudge Cake, Lemon Tart, Son Papdi were amazing. The Mango Panacotta was way too watery but the flavors were good. The Red Velvet cup cake could have been better.

Overall, the Brunch has something for everyone. The Live Counters gives you a chance to try different things from all over the world. The service needs to be improved and the staff should be more proactive.
