Box Office Predictions: Will Audiences Go ‘Into The Woods’?

Into The Woods goes wide this weekend, but doesn’t have the widest screen count. That actually goes to Unbroken. However, Into The Woods plays to a family audience, and family films typically do better this weekend. That’s why I’ve projected solid second weekends for both Museum and Annie, as well as older titles like Big Hero 6 and The Penguins Of Madagascar. The Imitation Game is going wider this weekend, and should crack the Top 10. The big question here is how big will The Interview go on 300 screens?

1) Into The Woods- 35M 4 Day Weekend, 35M Total
2) The Hobbit: Battle Of The Five Armies-32M 4 Day Weekend, 144M Total
3) Unbroken- 18M 4 Day Weekend, 18M Total
4) Night At The Museum 3- 12M 4 Day Weekend, 38M Total
