Roy Pulver is a retired Special Forces officer and he's trapped in his very own Groundhog Day of a never ending time loop on the day of his death.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

How many times can you feel pain and then die? That is exactly what Roy has been finding out as he must battle to figure out who exactly had planned to kill him and the reasons behind it. That is what makes the story rather interesting in all honesty as we go through the time loop seeing it ending at different times as he eventually pieces things together. Even if it does take many attempts when he picks up the clues. Eventually linking things back to his ex-wife and son who he did not really have much to do with at all, so much so that his son doesn't even know that Roy is actually his father.

The violence is rather brutal as well which makes for an even more entertaining journey as it really does push the boundaries and probably covers many different ways for someone to die. Which I feel we don't really see on screen anymore so that certainly gave the film more layers. The fact that went for the more action style approach as opposed to romance based was reassuring as well.

Considering this was a new film to appear on Amazon Video Prime I wasn't really sure what to expect but I was curious with Frank Grillo in the leading role, he certainly did not disappoint and was quite frankly a joy to watch from start to finish. Bringing a lovely balance between the situation and character development as he realises he doesn't have to actually give up and finding out the explanation to why he is stuck in that time loop.

Mel Gibson in a small role but as a bad guy is something that I could really get involved with and thought it was actually such fantastic casting. Naomi Watts as well making up the core cast works in a very good way as well. Even though this is truly Grillo's film! I would even go as far as saying this is easily a hidden gem and well worth watching!
