Bookmarks Made from Envelope Corners

By Sarahcraftylocks

Recycle those pretty envelopes into even prettier bookmarks with this fun easy craft.

I guess I only really needed to make one of these to demonstrate the process, but it was so much fun and so easy that I made a few! Now when I get cards in brightly coloured envelopes, I will be thinking what sort of bookmark I can make! And I did … see the next one I made.

You do not actually need to have brightly coloured envelopes, even plain ones will work.

Draw and color some pictures in the corner of the envelope. The best corner to use is the one at the bottom that does not have the flap on the other side, so you have a nice pocket when you cut your shape out.

Cut around your shape and it makes a nice pocket for slipping over a page corner to mark your place.

This would be a handy paper craft for children needing to make a gift for Mothers or Fathers Day!
