Glitches
I LOVED this. For anyone who is planning on reading this series I strongly suggest you read this first! I agree with the comments of others, I don’t see why this was not added to the start of Cinder. This little story is the perfect opening into the series. It captured my attention and left me wanting more and many answers by the time I came to the end of its 32 page story. It introduces you to all the people who are important in Cinder’s world in the beginning. You find out who to love and who to hate pretty quickly. You also get more information about Garan which is sparse in the rest of the series. I really felt for poor Cinder the entire time, things just don’t go her way and she is just too young to understand that most the people she is with are just vile and there is nothing she can do to change that. Iko is one of my favorite creatures ever.
I have a glitch, too. Sometimes I forget that I’m not human. I don’t think that happens to most androids.
The Little Android
This one did not fill me up with such love. We get like a two second glimpse of Cinder in this book and that is it. This story has nothing at all to do with the rest of the series. I have no idea why this book is in here. The more I read about Mech6.0, the less I liked her. What started off with me thinking another Iko ended is me getting something selfish and violent. Yes, in the end Mech6.0 let those things go for the man she rescued and loved, but I found this ending to be messily written and I did not enjoy it.
The Queen’s Army
I did not read this book in the order that is said to in the goodreads list encase it was another little android type thing that didn’t really have much relevance. Luckily for me though I liked this one! I went in already knowing the characters within and I found it really interesting to see how they started on their journey that landed them in the path of Cinder. I think you could read this one at any time. If you read it in the order on goodreads, its not going to spoil anything about the characters you meet in Scarlet until you are a fair bit in, but if you read it later like I did you will just get some great backstory about people you know and love.
Till Next Time…
