Fire in the Blood by Erin M. Evans

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of the book from NetGalley, in exchange for my unbiased and honest review.

This book centers of the character named Farideh. Farideh plays an important role in the "Sundering" series of books. Erin M. Evans, who was among the authors who wrote books part of the Sundering series, tells us what happened to Farideh as she finds herself in the middle of complicated set of circumstances.

Farideh and her twin sister, Havilar, are in Cormyr. Aubrin is engaged to marry the Princess Raedra although he is trying to make sure that does not happen. As Brin tries to find ways to make sure the wedding never happens (so he can be with Havilar). Meanwhile, within Cormyr, there are political struggles that have resulted in attempts to kidnap the twins.

Fire in the Blood is an exciting read. Though it forms part of the Dungeons & Dragons theme and the twins are characters that have been involved in the Sundering series, this book can be read on its own. The story is fast-paced and the characters are nicely evolved.
