Grendel: A Cautionary Tale about Chocolate By David Lukas
“Grendel loved his mum. Grendel loved his dog. But most of all Grendel LOVED chocolate.’

A true Easter Midas story about the danger of wishes. Modern  tale about a little monster who loves chocolates more than anything else. Grendel finds a message where he is granted three wishes. Of course the little monster wishes for more chocolate. And he learns that there are more things in life after he has turned his dog and mum into chocolate.

I love the fresh illustrations filled with colours and patterns. David says that he believes that the world is alive with magic – and it’s that feeling that inspires his work.

This is a perfect book to read before the hunt for Easter eggs begins. And the dialogue in the book is easy to remember during the hunt Chocolate! Give it to me! Give it to me!
