My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book through my blog Bames Live in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

The story revolves around a female lawyer named Tess Madison. She has turned her back on her old life and has just begun enjoying her new one when a man from her old life shows up at a dinner party.

Jack Valentine used to be someone Tess used to know and would rather not ever see again. However, he is also a guest at Asa's dinner party where he runs into Tess.

Asa Worthington is a very rich yet very rude man who loves to embarrass and belittle people. He has invited Jack Valentine, a businessman who owns a tech company, for a joint business venture. However, Asa has been stringing Jack along even after the dinner. To make things worse, Asa is found dead in his study and it appears Jack may be responsible.

Deadly Valentine is a romantic crime mystery novel written by Jenna Harte. I find the book an okay read if you are looking for some light entertainment or when you don't feel like connecting the dots. However, if you are a chain reader like me, the story is easy to predict how the story will go (I was able to guess how it will all end within the first few chapters).

That being said, the book is entertaining if you are looking for a light romance mystery story.
