Keynote Speaker 2012
Don Winslow - Author of The Kings of Cool & Savages
Dear friends, we're extremely excited to welcome author Don Winslow as this year's keynote speaker. Winslow's new novel has just been published to coincide with the release of the film adaption of Savages, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Oliver Stone. Savages was selected as a "Top 10 Book of 2010" by Janet Maslin in The New York Times, and Maslin also just reviewed the prequel The King's of Cool in the New York Times last month. Also, Winslow just published an article to the Huffington Post about the War on Drugs, a subject central to his books and Stone's current film. Conference participants are in for a treat as Winslow talks about his books and his journey to New York Times bestselling author.
