BOUGHT

I have so much to tell you about how I got these amazing books. Finding these books was no effort. They just show up every time I visit our local secondhand bookstore—which means they are really fated to have me as their owner. All of them were bought at a price range of $1 to $2. I was thrilled when I found a copy of City of Lost Souls! It’s just so rare to find newly released copies in a secondhand bookstore.

I got the copy of Crescendo at the same secondhand bookstore. But before I bought Crescendo, I had a battle with myself. First, I don’t have a copy of Hush, Hush which means I haven’t read it yet—soon I will. Second, I found a copy of Wildefire by Karsten Knight which is in my wishlist. I tried to weigh in things. Wildefire got it’s new cover for its paperback edition while Crescendo stayed as is. As a book collector, I love looking at my books in their proper sequence, editions and covers so I ended up buying Crescendo instead. As for Wildefire, I hid it somewhere in the bookstore for future buying opportunities.

GIFTED

My Aunt from Australia came to visit us in the Philippines for the holiday season. Of course, I expected gifts from her. But never did I know that she also brought some books with her only for me! Judging by the books she gave me—excluding Destroy Me and Hana—she is a certified Vampire lover.
