Today Louise Ashton stops by to share an excerpt from her book, Twin Trouble.
Excerpt from Twin Trouble
Casey saw all this happening from inside the shop, and after paying for her sweets, she ran outside the shop.
“Here, you lot! What you doing pestering my mate!?”.
“Push off and leave her alone!”. Casey shouted at Maria and her gang of mates.
“You’re getting stressed out, it seems. You’d better not, as it isn’t really good to be stressed out in this warm weather!”. Maria told Casey.
“Just get lost you tarts! Go play with your Barbie dolls!”. Casey screamed at them.
“Don’t tell us what to do!”. Maria replied, just as frustrated.
“Well okay. Amelia, let’s go and leave these tarts to go and pester someone else!”. Amelia and Casey then walked away from the girls.
As Amelia and Casey walked away, Maria shouted really loud to make them both hear what she had to say next.
“Them two just can’t hack it that we’re better than them!”. Maria and her mates then laughed really loud.
Casey stopped in her tracks.
“It ain’t gonna do no good if you go up to them, and tell them what you think of them, as you’ll probably more likely to get into trouble because of it”. Amelia told Casey.
“But they really bug me now!”. Casey whined.
“I know. They bug me as well”. Amelia agreed.
“Oh, alright. Come on. Let’s walk back to school”. Casey told Amelia.
