Book Chat: The Fault in Our Stars

Oh my goodness! First off, everyone go read this book. Secondly, if you haven't read it, you can still read this post. I do plan to talk about this book here, but I'll keep the spoilers out. If anyone wants to discuss further we can do so in the comment section.
Ok, so lets get to it:This book is so not what I was expecting, in the most amazing way possible.  Let me start off by saying I had no idea what this story was about. I mean, I knew she had cancer, but what is all the buzz around this book about? And does she die? Am I going to read a book that I know is a love story that clearly ends in death? This is not the type of book I typically read.
So I started reading. And I couldn't stop. I finished this book in two days and if I didn't have kids or work, I would have finished it in one sitting for sure.
The voice of the book intelligent and the characters are so well developed. I felt like I was right there and I could see what everyone looked like. I felt how the characters were feeling. The book doesn't drag things out either. If anything I wanted more from the story or a longer version anyway.
From the first page the author just kind of throws you right into where they are at in their lives. Unlike may books that I've read in the past, you didn't need to wait until the first 20, 50, or 100 pages are done to really get into it. It was very easy to get into and enjoyable right from the start!
I know everyone must think that The Fault in our Stars is a book about cancer, but it is about so many other things then that!
It is yet another reminder to live each day to the fullest. Which is a reminder and some perspective that each and everyone of us should remember on a daily basis.
I literally cried through the last third of the book. This is the second book I have ever read that I actually balled while reading it (Gwen, you know the other one).
All I can say is I can't wait to see the movie and I can't wait to read this book again!
