Bonjour Chocolates Opens A Gorgeous Cafe, Chez Papillons!

Punjabi Bagh gets a gorgeous new bakery, Delhi gets an excellent new addition to its dessert and cafe scene, and cafes in general get a place that sets the bar too high with its presentation, looks, quality and an overall package. Bonjour Chocolates, the famous home bakery sending sweet delights and comforting calorific brilliant gooey indulgences to the people of Delhi, has launched their first flagship store in Punjabi Bagh, called Chez Papillons.

A place that screams prettiness, attractiveness, beauty and an 'awwww' moment the second you step in. A huge counter filled with snacks and desserts is right in front of you, with the area behind it full of cute comfortable seating. Their walls are adorned with the most beautiful frames, quotes and decoration, and that's what catches your eye instantly. You have a -larger-than-life'-sized shelf showcasing different kinds of packaging that they do for gifting purposes. It's a complete delight to look at this space! Gift packs in all colours, shapes, sizes, with the most gorgeous looking material and design. The shelf right next to that is stocked with an array of dry cakes, cookies, biscuits and the likes. The cafe has some outstanding artefacts and installations that simply take your breath away, because the overall impact all of this has on you is just mind-blowing. 

You then move on to tasting their stuff and you realize that it's not just the first look that impresses you but the products they do are equally lip-smacking. Moist soft dry Chocolate Cake, Vanilla Cake, Walnut Cake and muffins (in flavours of apple cinnamon, blueberry, vanilla, chocolate and what not), granola, macaroons, and cookies in multiple sizes. Their Assorted Vanilla Cookies are irresistable, just like their Chocolate Brownie which deserves all the brownie points possible! Thick chocolate fudge inside the brownie- it's like a dream!!

The Tiramisu is another beauty that they have! Kickass with all the elements present, and it isn't overly sweet too. The cafe menu houses a lot of sandwiches, pastas, drinks, croissants, salads and mains too. A Ham and Cheese Croissant that I tasted at their launch was healthy, fresh and tasted so good! The Mojito was another refreshing component of their menu that was a hit amongst all. Creamy, thick, saucy Penne pasta, fresh salad with lettuce and veggies, risotto served in small cups- the food was really good. A typical comforting cafe-type delicious food.

The owners are two ladies who are sister-in-laws. Spoke with them and heard their story behind the cafe. They started Bonjour Chocolates with only two ovens at home, and started baking using them. Their sweet little home bakery soon turned into a flourishing business with people from all across Delhi NCR talking highly of their cakes, cookies, chocolates and the likes, and what you have now is a full-fledged cafe through which they're living their passion. They said they wanted to open a place that they would like to go to, and have dishes on the menu that they would love to eat, and that's exactly what they have done. Sincerity in their efforts and a lot of effort at that. You go to their cafe and you'll know what I'm talking about. A beautiful place with some excellent products!
