Boho and Weekend Blues.

By Samantha Curtis @hooahandhiccups

Oh Monday. I’m always saying “Happy Monday” but let’s be honest, is anyone really happy on a Monday morning? Not me. Actually, I’m not happy any morning because I’m not a morning person. I can’t see straight for the first 30 minutes and I certainly don’t talk before I’ve chugged my cup of coffee. I would love to have a few extra minutes in the morning to mentally prepare myself for the day, but unfortunately I’m usually running out of the house with one shoe on and a Batman backpack slung over my shoulder.

This weekend was supposed to be really exciting and super fun, but sitting down Sunday I just felt like it was kind of a bust.

Friday was a great day. We took family pictures in the cotton fields and I am SO excited to see how they turned out. I’m hoping there are at least one or two family shots that are decent enough to hang in our living room, but based on my children’s behavior, that may be wishful thinking. BOTH of them fell asleep on the way to the cotton fields and were not in a good mood when I woke them up. There were lots of tears, spit and M&Ms on new dresses, and scrapes on knees by the end of it. So fingers crossed by photog got a good shot. But she’s pretty amazeballs so I have faith she did!

We stopped at Oktoberfest on the way home and the kids had a blast. It was starting to get dark so we didn’t stay long, but they rode a few rides, had dinner, and enjoyed some authentic German music. We were going to go back on Sunday but didn’t end up making it.

Saturday I spent the morning finding an outfit for my event that night and then getting ready for it. I was picked up in the All-New 2016 FIAT 500 X Crossover and driven to Her Campus College Fashion Week. To be honest, it wasn’t what I expected at all. I didn’t really know what to expect but it definitely wasn’t how I pictured the night going. But I got to meet Molly, Mae, and Taylor so at least that was exciting! They are super sweet so you need to go check them out! Oh and we got some great swag bags…always a plus

I hadn’t felt very well before the event on Saturday but pushed through. So when I woke up Sunday morning, I just felt like straight crap. Thank God it was a weekend and Z was home because there is literally nothing worse than being sick and having to be full on mom mode. So although I still had to be up and moving, he was here to help with the responsibilities. We ran some errands, cleaned the cars (aka he did it all… thank you hubs!), and ended the night with our typical Pasta Sunday dinner and some Walking Dead binging.

I’m super excited it’s Halloween week and can’t wait to dress the kiddos up for the festivities! I’m also dressing up to match P and Z is dressing up to match Bubs…I gave a little hint on my Insta so I can’t wait to share my outfit with you too!

I’ve been living in these booties recently and knew I wanted to wear them with this BeBop dress from Stage Clothing when I got it. This hat came from AMI Clubwear and it’s now the third floppy hat I’ve added to my collection. Now I just need to find somewhere to go so I can wear this outfit out

Hope you all had a great weekend! Cheers to a happy (and quick) Monday
