Story: Bogieville starts when Ham (Putra) and Jody (Anderson) struggle to find work in their small town. The pair decide to skip town and stumble on the Maidson complex. Meanwhile, a group of vampires have been hunting the local area for their victims.

The place offers shelter and work, allowing the couple to find their feet. However, the rule of never leaving the home at night strikes them as strange. Ham and Jody must adapt to life-protecting vicious vampires and clash with them when they decide they want to go.

Verdict on Bogieville

Bogieville is an action horror following two drifters trying to find a place for work. However, they stumble upon a complex where vampires are guarded by humans and feed at night. When the violence becomes too much for the couple, they look to leave but find themselves trapped by the leader.

This movie brings us a vicious vampire movie, something we haven’t seen in a while. Despite the vampires showing more rage and bloodthirsty, there is also a calmer approach to their living. The vampires have a much more animalistic mentality while also operating in a way you would have imagined the ‘Near Dark’ clan did. This movie has a style which stands out and uses the primal vision of vampires well. The strangest way to describe it would be ‘Wrong Turn with Vampires’.

Final Thoughts Bogieville is a much rawer journey into vampirism.
