An Air France 777 on final approach to runway 28L at SFO passes over a Boeing brethren at SFO. This aircraft wears the revised 2019 “Eurowhite” livery, which reinstated the practice of eventually naming of each aircraft (this one is still unnamed). Air France was the launch customer for the -300ER and operates 43 of them in their fleet. First flown in 1994, the 777 is the world’s largest twinjet and utilizes the largest-diameter turbofan engines of any aircraft. United operates 22 777-300ERs in their current fleet, primarily used on international flights to and from the U.S. The -300ER is the best-selling 777 variant with more than 800 delivered.
