A Southwest 737-700 (NG) lifts off runway 1R at San Francisco International Airport. Southwest operates 459 of these Next Generation 737s and was the launch customer for that version. In its history, Southwest Airlines has operated only Boeing 737 aircraft, except during the early 80’s when it leased a few Boeing 727-200s. With 735 in their current fleet, Southwest is the largest operator of the Boeing 737 worldwide. The Boeing 737 MAX is the fourth generation of the venerable Boeing 737, and will be replacing older 737 NG aircraft. Boeing ceased production of commercial 737NGs in 2019 and made the final deliveries in January 2020. Nikon D500 w/Tamron 150-600mm.
