Nittambuwa Police found the body of a 42-year-old person, who is suspected to have been clubbed to death, in a paddy field in the Ellakkala area in Nittambuwa on Thursday night.“The victim is a father of three and a mason by profession who lived in the Ellakkala area,” Police said.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the deceased had consumed alcohol with two other friends and an argument developed among them had led to this murder.
Police have arrested one suspect in connection with this murder and are yet to arrest the second suspect.
Acting Attanagalla Magistrate Sampath Kasthurirathne conducted the Magisterial Inquiry. Nittambuwa Police are conducting investigations.
