Bob Vylan, the most important band in the country, have shared new single ‘Hunger Games’ ahead of the release of new album ‘Humble as the Sun’ on 5 April.

Bobby Vylan says: ‘’Hunger Games’ is like a rallying cry for everybody that’s sick of suffering due this economic crisis that we’re living with.’ Opening with fuzzy, grungey, DIY riffs and Bobby’s trademark relentless drumming, it opens with Bobby saying ‘Alright, alright, what will you win yourself tonight? Spin the wheel for a chance of a hot meal’.

The band continue to challenge those responsible for the state of the nation – ‘Election comes and all they pour out. I never see them here while the poor’s about’; ‘World outside is burning down, my flat still won’t hold heat’ – before offering a semblance of hope with the defiant declaration of ‘We’re made for more. I say we take it’ and a motivational, trippy pep talk over some perfectly pitched beats: ‘Do not live every day as if it’s your last, live every day as if it’s your first’.
