As well documented on this here blog, blush and I have a very complicated relationship with each other. With naturally pink (read RED) cheeks, it can be hard to pull off, and I don't often feel like adding to the flushed look, but when my skin is behaving itself, it's nice to give the apples a pop of color for a more rounded off and polished makeup look. As you may have guessed, I'm going through the luuurrrvvve stage with the stuff at the moment, so I thought that I would share with you my pick of the bunch.
For a pinky peach blush that you can't go wrong with, I really rate the BornPretty blush in the shade #1. You can read the full review here, but here's the basic run down: a gorgeous naturally blushed shade with shimmer shot through, this reminds me of NARS Orgasm (or how I imagine it to be as I don't actually own it, haha!) it completely negates the need for a highlight as well and has become on of my everyday staples. Another shimmery blush that I have absolutely been loving recently is the MeMeMe blusher in Pink. This reminds me a lot of the benefit boxed blushes, and the pretty wash of pink color flecked with gold provides a lit from within look that would suit just about anyone. And another one worth a little mention for anyone with a darker skin tone is the Makeup Revolution Baked Blush in All I Think About is You.
For days where I want to push the boat out, and go for a color a bit more out of my comfort zone, my eBay blush palette comes in really handy. With a range of 12 colours and incredible pigmentation and formula for the price, this is definitely worth a go for anyone wanting to experiment a bit more with the colours adorning their cheeks. And finally, the black sheep among the crowd, the Bobbi Brown Cream Blush in Raspberry - a dewy finish cream blush which blends like a dream to create a gorgeous natural glow with an almost berry color perfect for this time of year. Also worth mentioning that it makes a gorgeous stain on the lips too.
That's probably all the blushers that one girl needs, right? But I don't think I will be stopping there. Any recommendations for me?
