Blowback: The American Way

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.

An amoral, imperial, ends justifies the means, zero-sum game, Machiavellian, bomb today worry about tomorrow later, sociopathic, and diabolically amoral foreign policy is bound to generate horrific amounts of blowback if only due to the thinking of “The enemy of my enemy is my friend, worry about now now, worry about later when it happens, we will cross that bridge when we come to it, don’t worry it won’t happen short-term thinking, damn the long-term” outlook US foreign policy.

Short-term thinking and inability to see the long-term or care about consequences is one of the characteristics of the psychopathic personality. But that definition, the government of the United States is actually personality disordered and the state itself is ill with antisocial personality disorder.

At this point, blowback is such a predictable outcome of US foreign policy that I am actually thinking that we should start to consider as one of the prime goals of US foreign policy: Whatever the US does, make sure to generate as much blowback as possible.
