#BloggersTeaspoon

By Bethtinkerbell @TinksLostGirls

This post has been a long time coming which I do apologize for! I’ll keep blaming those pesky deadlines, though finally they are out of the way for summer.

At the beginning of May I headed to the North East to spend the weekend with Kathryn, however today I am going to be talking about Bloggers Teaspoon the event we attended. Bloggers Teaspoon was organised by Rachel and Becca but not only was it a bloggers event, it was also to raise money for Lupus UK. Rachel has Lupus and so they decided to combine a bloggers event with raising money for an excellent charity. It’s an ingenious idea, as bloggers we all love getting together and either catching up or getting to meet new bloggers, which of course is fantastic but being able to do that and support a charity is just so simple and effective. We raised £200 during the event!

As you can see in the picture above the cakes looked lovely! I didn’t get to try one, but I heard good things from those who did.

It was lovely to see Emily again, she’s a babe and I love her. I also got to meet many lovely new bloggers too Charlotte, Louise, Jay, and many more who I can’t remember off the top of my head, sorry!

The event was at the Salsa Cafe, somewhere i’d never been before, seeing as i’ve never been to Newcastle. It was very nice, and if I went back to Newcastle i’d definitely pop in for lunch. We had tea from Teapigs, lots of delicious flavours to choose from, though I went for a simple green tea, Kathryn went for the popcorn tea, I need to try it there’s corn in the teabag which pops into popcorn which is amazing! I’m sure I spotted a chocolate tea and a caramel one too! I must admit I haven’t tried many Teapigs teas, mainly because I can never choose which one to go for, I wish they did a box with a sachet of each tea and then I can try them all.

I had great fun drinking tea and chatting with bloggers, it was just perfect. I wish I lived nearer so that I could have tea with everyone again.

If you want to know more about Lupus then head over to Lupus UK where you can find all of the information you need.
